Mobi keyless access malfunction
Summary of the thread
The keyless access on a 2016 Fiat Mobi stopped working, and a mechanic identified an error related to the door handle. A similar issue was previously resolved by addressing a faulty cable or connection in the door handle module. It was suggested to have a workshop diagnose and fix the problem, which was confirmed to be a defective cable or plug connection, and the issue was resolved at a cost.

Thanks! Yes, using the key works fine to lock and unlock the car. How were you so sure about the cable or connection? How did you figure that out? Should I just take apart the door and start wiggling wires?

Okay, key working is good news I guess. I wasn't 'sure' – just it's a known issue with these cars, or so I've heard. I wouldn't start tearing into the door yourself unless you are very good with electronics. It's probably best to take it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly, and that way you are sure about your fix.

Just wanted to say thanks for the help! I followed your advice and took the Fiat to a workshop. It was indeed a defective cable or plug connection in the door handle! Cost me 95€ to get it sorted, but at least it's working again. Thanks!

Hey! I have a Mobi too, and something similar happened last year! The keyless entry was acting up, then died. I'd bet it's a faulty cable or connection in the door handle module itself. Hope it's not something worse, those modules are expensive. Does the door lock work with the key?
