Mobi oxygen sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Fiat Mobi owner experienced a recurring check engine light and increased fuel consumption, with diagnostics pointing to an oxygen sensor issue. The suspect cable and plug connection were initially cleaned with contact cleaner, but the problem persisted. Ultimately, replacing the oxygen sensor resolved the issue, restoring normal vehicle function.

Good point! What's the best way to clean the contacts? Is there a specific spray I should use? I don't want to damage anything.

Contact cleaner spray is your best bet. Disconnect the battery first for safety. But if the light returns after cleaning, and your fuel consumption is still high, it might be worth having it checked by a workshop. It could save you money. I suspect the oxygen sensor needs replacing, which could cost 95€.

Thanks for the advice! I cleaned the contacts, but the light came back on as you predicted. I took it to the workshop, and it was indeed the oxygen sensor. I replaced it, and everything's running smoothly now. I appreciate the help!

That sounds like a classic aged oxygen sensor issue. I had the same thing happen on my old car. First, are you sure the sensor itself is good? Have you tried cleaning the contacts on the plug connection before replacing the sensor?
