The engine light is constant, not flashing. If it's the DPF, does it definitely need replacing? Or is cleaning a viable option? If a DPF regeneration is not enough, what would the filter replacement entail?

If the light is constant, it could be too clogged for a normal regeneration. Cleaning can sometimes work, but it's not always a permanent fix. Replacement is more reliable. You'll need to take it to a workshop; they'll replace the filter and reset the engine management system to recognize the new DPF. I had to bite the bullet and replace mine.

Thanks for the info. I took it to a workshop, and it was indeed the DPF. Cleaning wasn't an option, so I had to get it replaced. Cost me about 1550€ all in. Appreciate the advice!

I have a Mobilio as well and had similar symptoms. Reduced power and smoke usually point to a DPF issue. A DPF, or diesel particulate filter, catches soot from the exhaust. When it gets full, it needs to regenerate, basically burn off the soot. Does the engine light flash, or is it constant?
