Moco active hood fault
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Nissan Moco is experiencing an active hood fault, indicated by an on-board computer message and an illuminated airbag warning lamp. The issue is suspected to be caused by a defective acceleration sensor, which has been confirmed by error memory checks. The solution involves replacing the faulty sensor, which costs approximately 315€.

Interesting! So the airbag light came on at the same time as the active hood message? Did your mechanic also point to the acceleration sensor? I am curious if you had to pay a similar amount.

Yeah, airbag light was definitely on at the same time. Honestly, I didn't even bother trying to figure it out myself. Just took it straight to the shop. They sorted it, though I can't remember exactly what they did. I'd say take it to a professional if you're not sure.

Thanks for the info! It's reassuring to know someone else has experienced the same thing. It was the acceleration sensor. Got it replaced and everything's back to normal. The bill came to 315€, just like I had feared. Appreciate the help!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I've got a Moco too, and I had something similar happen a while back. Airbag light and all. What's an active hood fault though?
