Modus AC not cooling

Hi, I've got a 2008 Renault Modus with a gasoline engine and 146401 km on the clock. The air conditioning has suddenly stopped cooling. The AC system doesn't even seem to switch on. Any ideas? I suspect some valve issues in the cooling system but haven't checked yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Summary of the thread

A 2008 Renault Modus owner reports that the air conditioning has stopped cooling and suspects valve issues in the cooling system. A suggestion is made to check the pressure switch, which is typically located near the condenser, and to consider AC diagnostics. The owner plans to take the car to a workshop for further investigation and potential repair.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hey, I had a similar AC problem with my Modus. Does the blower motor work? Also, have you checked the pressure switch? Might be worth getting some AC diagnostics done.

Thanks. The blower motor seems to be working fine. Where exactly is the pressure switch located, and is there a way to test it? I haven't noticed any unusual AC noise.

The pressure switch is usually near the condenser. Honestly, for something like that, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. Could be a defect in individual valves – that happened to me, and the repair was about 1000€.

Thanks for the advice. I'll book it in at a workshop and mention the valves. Hopefully, it won't cost too much. I will post the resolution when I have it.
