Thanks for the quick response! I haven't checked the oxygen sensor or MAF sensor yet, but that's next on my list. As for the error codes, I don't have an OBD scanner myself. Is there any way to test the injectors without specialized equipment, or am I better off just taking it to a shop at this point?

Okay, no codes yet - that's a bummer. Injector testing without proper tools? Tricky. You could try listening to each injector with a stethoscope (or even a long screwdriver as a makeshift one) to see if they're all clicking regularly, but that's hardly definitive. Honestly, with those symptoms and the lean running, plus not knowing the error codes, you're probably best off getting it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose it and pinpoint the issue. Could save you a lot of time and money in the long run!

Thanks. Appreciate the advice. I took it to a shop, and you were right; it was a defective injector. Cost me 515€ to replace. Runs like new now!

Whoa, sounds rough! Lean running on a diesel Modus... Could be a few things. Besides the injectors (which are a prime suspect), have you checked the oxygen sensor or the mass air flow (MAF) sensor? A faulty MAF sensor can definitely cause lean running. What codes is the check engine light throwing? That'll give you a huge clue.
