Thank you for the suggestion. Regarding the catalytic converter and exhaust system inspection, could you perhaps elaborate on where exactly I should be focusing my attention? Any specific areas of concern that you recall from your own experience?

The connection points and seams are most critical. Look for rust or physical damage. Honestly, in my case, the leak was minimal and hard to spot without proper equipment. The sensor was indeed faulty and had to be replaced. If you are unsure, a workshop visit will likely be insightful to confirm the problem.

I appreciate the guidance. Following your advice, I took it to a workshop, and you were spot-on. The NOx sensor was indeed faulty, with a defective cable connection and it was replaced for 95€. Thanks again for the assistance.

I had an almost identical issue with my Modus. Same symptoms, same error code. I remember checking all the usual suspects but I have to ask: Did you happen to inspect the catalytic converter and the exhaust system to identify potential leaks or damage? This might give you more clarity on where the leak is coming from, and possibly causing the sensor to go haywire.
