Mokka airbag warning light

I've got a 2013 Vauxhall Mokka, gasoline engine, and the airbag warning lamp is on. I'm guessing it's an airbag sensor issue. Anyone else had this SRS light problem?

I had something similar happen in my Mokka. The SRS light was constantly on. The airbag system can be a bit sensitive, and it often points to a cable or plug connection issue. Did you recently adjust the seats? Sometimes that can jostle the connections under the seat, which are part of the airbag circuit.

Cable or plug? I did have the seats all the way back for a bit. Where exactly are these connections? Is it something I could check myself before I end up at the workshop? Is this airbag sensor related?

That's what it was for me. They're under the front seats mainly. Unless you're really comfortable fiddling with electrical stuff and know how to properly disconnect the battery and avoid setting off the airbags, I'd advise against poking around too much. You could make it worse. Best bet is probably to get it checked at a workshop. It's a safety system, after all. They sorted it quickly for me.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to a shop, and you were spot on – a loose connection under the passenger seat! They charged me 95€ to fix it. I really appreciate the help; I was imagining all sorts of expensive airbag sensor replacements. Huge relief!
