Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't seen any obvious leaks, no. I can't really tell if the turbo is spooling up correctly. It just feels...flat. How did you confirm the vacuum switching valve was the problem?

Well, without proper diagnostic tools, it's tricky to be 100% sure. In my case, I took it to a workshop. They ran some tests and confirmed the faulty vacuum switching valve was the cause. They replaced it, and the issue was resolved. I'd recommend getting it checked out by a professional. It's the safest bet. You could try replacing it yourself but then you could damage something, it is better to leave it to someone who knows.

Thanks, appreciate the advice. I'll book it in at a local workshop. The valve replacement seems to have solved the issue. Cost me 140€ in total, including parts and labor.

I had a similar problem with my Mokka. Same symptoms – check engine light, power loss, sluggishness. Have you checked for any obvious leaks in the boost system? A faulty vacuum switching valve is indeed a possibility. That's what it was for me. Is the turbo spooling up correctly, or does it feel like there's a delay?
