Mokka Electrical Issues

I'm having some bizarre electrical issues with my 2013 Vauxhall Mokka (gasoline engine). It has 221424 km. Every now and then, I get a 'Service Required' message along with sporadic errors popping up – sometimes it's the driving mode, other times it's warning lights. The audio/navigation system seems to go haywire, and on a couple of occasions, the whole thing has just shut down and become unresponsive temporarily. I scanned it and there's an error stored in the memory. Anyone experienced anything similar?

Sounds familiar! I've got a Mokka too, and I had similar gremlins a while back. It's like the car's having a digital meltdown, isn't it? Like when your computer suddenly freezes or throws up weird error messages. Does it feel like a short?

A digital meltdown is a great way to describe it! It does feel like a short actually. What did you do to solve your problem?

Yup, sounds like the same nightmare I had. It was a dodgy cable connection to the control unit – apparently, where it links to the BUS system. It's a pain, but the garage sorted it pretty quickly. Honestly, I'd get it checked out by a professional before you end up chasing ghosts in the machine.

Thanks for the insights! Sounds like it might be beyond my skillset. I'll book it in at the workshop for them to check the cable connection. At least I have some idea of what they should be looking for. I was quoted 155€ so hopefully that solves it.
