Mokka engine running roughly
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Vauxhall Mokka owner experienced rough engine performance, intermittent check engine light, jerking during acceleration, and reduced power. These symptoms suggested a possible combustion misfire. A suggestion to check the ignition coils led to a workshop visit, where a defective injection valve was diagnosed and repaired, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the advice. I haven't checked the ignition coils yet. How would I test them?

While you could test them yourself, given the symptoms and the potential complexity, it might be best to take it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis. In my case, the garage identified a defective injector.

Thanks for the insight. I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. The diagnosis confirmed a defective injection valve. The repair cost 515€, but the car runs smoothly again.

That sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my old Renault Megane: rough idle, check engine light, and poor throttle response. Have you checked the ignition coils? A faulty coil can cause combustion misfires.
