Interesting. What happened with your Peugeot in the end? Did replacing the sensor fix it, or was there more to it?

Replacing the sensor resolved all the issues for me. However, before doing that, I'd strongly advise taking it to a workshop with competent technicians. They should be able to accurately diagnose the root cause and give you a repair quote. It's like seeing a doctor when you have a persistent cough; they have the tools to identify the exact bug.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local shop, and you were spot on. It was the fuel level sensor. Replacing it cost me 52€ in total, and everything is back to normal. Appreciate the help!

That sounds frustrating. I had a similar issue with my old Peugeot 308. The symptoms were almost identical - engine light, occasional stalling, and a fuel gauge that was all over the place. It turned out the fuel level sensor was giving erratic readings. Your Mokka may have a defective fuel level sensor as well. It's like a bad tap that drips irregularly.
