Mokka keyless entry fault

I've got a 2022 Vauxhall Mokka with a gasoline engine and a bit of a head-scratcher. My keyless entry has stopped working on the driver's door, and the error memory is showing a fault related to the door electronics. It's done 241974 km. I'm guessing it's something like a dodgy sensor or maybe even the door actuator itself, but I'm not sure where to start. I had a quick look and all the fuses seem fine. Anyone else had this kind of gremlin?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue on my old Skoda Octavia a while back. The keyless entry packed up, and it turned out to be a faulty connection in the door. Like a loose wire on a lamp, if that makes sense. Did you check the cable connections in the door?

Thanks for the tip! When you say 'cable connections', do you mean the ones going into the door handle itself, or further inside the door panel? And was it obvious when you found it, or did you need a multimeter to test it?

On the Octavia, it was where the wiring loom connected to the door module, inside the door panel. I didn't spot it myself, my mechanic did. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. I did, and they were able to pinpoint the exact problem and fix it quickly.

Appreciate the advice. I took it to a local garage, and you were spot on – it was a defective cable/plug connection! They charged me 95€ to sort it out. Keyless entry is working again. Thanks again!
