Mokka transmission control unit failure

Anyone else had this Mokka madness? My 2019 Vauxhall Mokka diesel is throwing a fit. Paddle shifters are useless, gearbox is slipping like it's on ice and making nasty grinding noises. Limp mode is now a regular thing, and the error memory is full of complaints. Could it be the transmission control unit?

I had similar transmission issues with my Mokka. Were you experiencing any slow response from the paddle shifters or seeing any stored error codes before the limp mode became constant? It does indeed sound suspiciously like the control unit.

Slow response AND stored error codes, yup! So it's confirmed – the control unit is the culprit? How much did it sting?

Given the symptoms and the error codes, a defective transmission control unit is highly probable. I suggest scheduling a diagnostics appointment with a certified repair shop, as they possess the expertise to perform comprehensive diagnostics and confirm the issue. If confirmed, you can anticipate repair costs in the vicinity of 1000€.

Thanks for the heads-up! Workshop confirmed it’s the transmission control unit. Quoted around 1000€, like you said. Ouch. Time to bite the bullet.
