Mondeo AdBlue Error No Start

Thanks for the insight! I haven't checked the DEF fluid lines specifically. Where exactly are those located, and is it something I can easily access myself? I'm reasonably handy, but I don't want to make things worse. Also, did you manage to fix the issue with your Renault yourself, or did you end up taking it to a mechanic?

Okay, so on the Espace, the lines were a pain to get to – tucked away near the exhaust. You might have better luck with the Mondeo, but honestly, unless you're super confident, I'd be wary of messing with them too much. I ended up taking the Renault to a workshop because I didn't want to risk damaging the SCR catalyst further. Given that your engine won't start now, I'd seriously consider getting it checked professionally. It sounds like more than just a simple sensor issue.

Thanks again for sharing your experience! I think you're right; it's beyond my capabilities at this point. I've booked it in with a local mechanic. Turns out the AdBlue pump was faulty, and they're quoting me around 250€ for the repair. Hopefully, that'll sort it out!

Ugh, sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Renault Espace, although it wasn't exactly the same. I kept getting a service light related to the diesel exhaust, and it turned out the SCR catalyst was playing up. It wasn't an "AdBlue tank empty" message specifically, but the symptoms were similar – persistent error message and eventually, limp mode. Have you checked the DEF fluid lines for any blockages or leaks? That might be worth a quick look before you take it in. The tank capacity is probably fine, it's likely a sensor or delivery issue.
