Mondeo gear shift indicator failure

I'm experiencing a strange issue with my 2023 Ford Mondeo Hybrid. The gear shift indicator on the dashboard is completely dead. It is not possible to engage the gears and the gearbox slips/shifts uncleanly. I am getting grinding noises when shifting gears and an error is stored in the error memory. The car has 97961 km on the clock. Any ideas?

Sounds frustrating! I had something similar happen with my Mondeo. Was the gear selection display in the speedometer without function, too? For me, the automatic transmission was behaving implausibly.

Yep, same symptoms. Turned out to be a defective control unit. Honestly, save yourself the headache and take it to a workshop.
