Mondeo Hybrid Torque Converter Issue

I've got a 2021 Ford Mondeo Hybrid with about 40k kilometers on it. Check engine light and transmission indicator are on. Gearbox slips and shifts roughly, with grinding noises. Error memory has a fault stored. Diagnostics suggest a defective automatic transmission torque converter lock-up clutch. Anyone else experienced this?

Sounds rough. I've got a Mondeo too, though not a hybrid. Had something kinda similar happen a while back. Check engine light, weird shifting... felt like driving through molasses sometimes. Turned out to be transmission-related for me as well. Was it doing it more when the engine was cold, or all the time?

The symptoms appear to be present regardless of the engine temperature. Could you elaborate on the specifics of your transmission issue? Was it indeed the torque converter, and if so, what was the resolution?

Yeah, mine ended up being the torque converter too. Acted like a clogged artery in the car's system, messing everything up. Honestly, with those symptoms and the error codes, I'd get it to a reputable workshop ASAP. Better safe than sorry when it comes to transmissions. Delaying could turn a small issue into a catastrophic, wallet-emptying event.

I appreciate your advice and sharing your experience. I arranged for the vehicle to be inspected by a qualified technician. The diagnosis confirmed the defective torque converter, and the repair, amounting to 2120€, is now underway. Thanks again for your assistance.
