Mondeo rear window heating issue

Good day. I'm experiencing an issue with my 2002 Ford Mondeo, gasoline engine. The rear window heating is not functioning. I've observed an error stored in the error memory, and the windshield heating doesn't seem to work as it should. Could a heavily discharged or defective battery cause this?

I had a similar problem with my 2008 Opel Astra. The rear window defroster stopped working, and it turned out to be a voltage issue. Have you checked the battery's voltage output? A weak battery can definitely cause electrical gremlins.

Understood. I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to the workshop. Indeed, the battery was the problem. It was replaced, and now the rear window heating works perfectly. The total repair cost was 290€.
