Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't run any diagnostics myself, but that's a good point about the battery sensor. Where exactly is it located, and is it something I could test with a multimeter, or would I need to take it to a shop? What did you end up doing to fix yours?

I wouldn't mess with the sensor yourself, to be honest. It's connected to the car's computer and can mess things up if you don't know what you're doing. I took mine to the workshop and they did a vehicle diagnostics. It turned out the voltage sensor was defective, and they replaced it. I'd recommend doing the same. It might save you a bigger headache down the road!

That's great advice, thanks so much! I'll book it in for a diagnostic check at the shop ASAP. Just got the result: indeed, the battery sensor was defective. The total repair cost was 315€. Hopefully, that'll sort everything out. Really appreciate you sharing your experience!

I had a similar issue with my Mondeo. I didn't have the flickering lights, but the weak starts were definitely a sign. Did you check the battery charge? It could be the battery sensor. My mechanic told me that a defective sensor can cause all sorts of weird electrical problems. Have you run any diagnostics on it yet?
