Movano Camshaft Sensor Error

My 2014 Renault Movano diesel is hard to start and has reduced power. It's throwing a camshaft sensor error. The wiring seems okay, but I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone else had this? Is it a dodgy sensor?

I've got a Movano, too. Had similar issues a while back. Camshaft position sensor was the culprit. Check the connections thoroughly before replacing anything.

Cheers! When you say similar issues, was it the same symptoms - hard starting, lack of power, and the camshaft sensor error code? Did you end up replacing the sensor itself, or was it just a wiring snafu? Did you experience misfires or crankshaft issues?

Yep, same symptoms. I'd suggest going to the workshop. They will diagnose the issue, but it was the camshaft sensor

Thanks a lot for confirming! I'll get it to a garage and see if they can sort it. Got it fixed at a local garage. Ended up being a corroded connector on the camshaft sensor, just like you said. New connector and sensor, and it's running great. Cost me 95€, all in. Appreciate the advice!
