Movano Mirror Heating Fault

Hi, I have a 2004 Renault Movano with a diesel engine. My mirror heating isn't working. Both mirrors stay cold, and the error memory shows a fault. I've checked the fuses, which seem okay. Could it be a defective cable or plug connection, as I suspect?

Hey, I had something similar happen on my Renault Trafic. The mirror heating stopped working on both sides at the same time. Check the wiring loom where it enters the door. Those wires are known to get brittle and break, especially with cold weather. Have you had any other electrical issues lately?

Thanks for the tip! No other electrical issues so far, thankfully. Do you remember if the broken wire was obvious or hidden inside the loom?

On mine, it was hidden inside the protective covering. You couldn't see the break until I started bending the wires and the insulation cracked open. If you're not comfortable messing with wiring, it might be worth getting a workshop to take a look. Could save you some headaches.
