Move Heating Issue
Summary of the thread
The heating issue in a 2015 Chevrolet Move involves low heating output and a stored error, potentially linked to a faulty defrost air distribution flap. Possible causes include a defective cable or plug connection, or issues with the blower motor affecting temperature regulation. Before disassembly, checking fuses and accessing the flap motor behind the center console are suggested steps. Ultimately, consulting a professional workshop is recommended for accurate diagnosis and repair.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuses and they all seem to be in working order. As for accessing the flap motor, I haven't done that yet. Is it difficult to get to on the Move? Are there any guides online, or any particular trim pieces I should be extra careful with when removing them? I'm trying to avoid breaking anything in the process.

Accessing the flap motor can be a bit fiddly, yes. I remember having some trouble with the trim around the gear stick. It's held in place by clips, and they can be quite tight. If you apply too much force, you risk snapping them. Unfortunately, I don't have any specific guides to hand. Given that you've checked the fuses, and you're hesitant to start disassembling the dashboard, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They should be able to diagnose the problem accurately and replace the flap motor, if needed. It's better to be safe than sorry, especially when dealing with delicate components.

Alright, thanks for the advice. I think you're right, it's probably best to let a professional handle this one. I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the air distribution flap and the cable/plug connection. They quoted me around 95€ for the repair, which seems reasonable. Hopefully, that'll fix the issue. Thanks again for your help!

MOVE

I had a similar issue with my Move. The reduced heating output and error code sound familiar. It could indeed be the air distribution flap. Before you dive into a full disassembly, have you checked the relevant fuses? A blown fuse can sometimes cause similar symptoms. Also, are you familiar with how to access the flap motor? It's often located behind the center console, which requires removing some trim pieces. I'm no expert, but those are the first things that come to mind.
