Thanks! No ticking or rattling, but the engine vibrates a bit more at idle. Misfiring is hard to say, but the engine response feels uneven. If it's the crankshaft sensor, is that a straightforward repair, or is there a risk of timing complications?

Okay, the extra vibration might mean something is out of sync. If the crankshaft sensor is messing up the reference value, engine timing could be affected. It's not always straightforward; sometimes other components can be damaged if the timing is off too long. Honestly, with those symptoms, get it checked by a workshop. It sounds too complicated to diagnose without the right tools. Could cost around 340€.

I appreciate your advice! I suspected it was beyond my ability to repair. I'll take it to a trusted workshop to investigate the crankshaft sensor and timing. Thanks again; it's reassuring to have some idea of what to expect.

That sounds frustrating. Reduced power and worse fuel economy are never fun. Any unusual engine noises, like ticking or rattling? Has it been misfiring? Could be a sensor issue related to the crankshaft reference value, but it's hard to say for sure without more information.
