Murano Hybrid Overvoltage Error

I'm having a strange issue with my 2015 Nissan Murano Hybrid. It's showing a consistent overvoltage error. I'm seeing a lot of fault memory entries related to it, and it's causing various systems to fail. The battery seems weak when starting, and there are some general electrical malfunctions going on. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

That sounds like a serious power surge issue. Overvoltage can fry a lot of sensitive car electronics. How old is your Murano's 12V battery? Have you had it load tested recently? Also, has the car been sitting unused for an extended period?

The battery is about 3 years old. I haven't had it load tested specifically, but the voltage seems low sometimes. And yes, it did sit for about a month without being driven. Could that cause this?

Sitting for a month could definitely contribute, especially with a slightly older battery. A heavily discharged or defective battery is a likely culprit for overvoltage events. The system might be compensating, causing the surge. Given the system failures, I'd strongly recommend having a workshop check the battery and charging system thoroughly. Ignoring this could damage more components.

I took it to a workshop, and you were right – the battery was heavily discharged and defective. Replacing it cost 290€, but it seems to have resolved the overvoltage issues. Appreciate the help!
