NBox Charge Air Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Honda NBox owner experienced a check engine light and reduced power, accompanied by whistling and hissing sounds during acceleration. The diagnostic tool indicated a charge air temperature sensor error, although the sensor appeared intact. The issue was traced to a corroded connector pin and damaged wiring, which were cleaned and repaired by a mechanic, resolving the problem.

Thanks. When you checked the wiring, were there specific problem spots, or was it a general check?

My engine sensor harness had a corroded connector pin. It looked okay until I disconnected it and saw the corrosion. Given your description and the error code, a workshop should thoroughly inspect the pins and wiring with diagnostic tools to prevent further damage. Hope that helps.

Just got the NBox back from the mechanic. It was a corroded connector, like you said. They cleaned it and replaced some damaged wire for 95€. Thanks for the help!

I had similar problems with my old Opel Astra: check engine light, power loss, and hissing. The error was a faulty airflow sensor. Carefully check the wiring and connectors to the charge air temperature sensor.
