NBox engine smoke and power loss
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Honda NBox is experiencing engine smoke and power loss, with the check engine light activated. The symptoms suggest a potential malfunction of the crankcase ventilation valve, which could be causing excessive emissions. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the defective valve, and it is recommended to have the system checked and repaired by a professional workshop.

Thanks for the quick response! The smoke is more on the grey side. Fuel consumption seems normal, and no unusual engine noises that I can detect. What exactly was the cause in your case? And did you manage to fix it yourself?

Yep, greyish smoke sounds like the same problem I had. It turned out the crankcase ventilation valve was defective and needed replacing. Honestly, I tried to have a look but it was beyond my skillset, so I took it to a trusted workshop. They sorted it out for around 360€. I would recommend you do the same.

Appreciate the confirmation. Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop then. Will get the crankcase ventilation system checked thoroughly. Thanks for sharing your experience; definitely saved me some time and fruitless tinkering!

Hey, that sounds familiar! I've got an NBox too, and I had a similar issue last year. Check engine light, loss of power, and some bluish smoke. It was pretty alarming! Was the smoke bluish or more white/grey? Did you notice any change in fuel consumption, or any unusual engine noises?
