Nemo Engine Mount Issue

Alright, I'm scratching my head here! My 2008 Citroen Nemo, gasoline engine, is giving me grief. It's got 57k on the clock. I keep getting an error in the memory, and the idling is rough. I'm no dummy, so I've had a poke around. Could it be the engine mount? I'm wondering if a dodgy cable or plug connection to that component might be the culprit... anyone seen this before?

Regarding your Citroen Nemo's engine mount issue and associated symptoms, it is indeed plausible that a defective cable or plug connection is contributing to the problem. The error stored in the memory likely corresponds to a sensor or actuator associated with the engine mount's functionality, and the uneven idling could result from vibrations or instability caused by a failing mount. Could you provide additional details regarding the specific error code retrieved from the memory?

Thanks for the quick reply! The error code is P0507, which seems to point to idle air control system RPM higher than expected. Does that still sound like a mount issue, or am I barking up the wrong tree? I'm just trying to figure out if I can tackle this myself or if it's workshop-only territory.

The error code P0507 does suggest an issue within the idle air control system, however, such a condition can be indirectly influenced by a failing engine mount. Excess vibration or instability caused by a defective mount can disrupt the proper function of sensors and actuators within the engine, thus triggering the error code. Given the nature of the symptoms and error code, professional diagnosis is recommended to properly isolate the source and mitigate further complications. I suggest visiting a competent workshop.

Thanks a bunch for confirming that! I bit the bullet and took it to the shop. Turns out you were spot on – it WAS the engine mount AND a dodgy connection! 95€ later, she's purring like a kitten again. Appreciate the advice!
