Nissan Caravan Ignition Terminal Interrupted

My 2005 Nissan Caravan with a gasoline engine won't start. The error memory says Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted. I've checked some fuses, but nothing's blown. Could it be the starter solenoid or something in the wiring harness? It's got 140350 km on it.

I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 series. Same symptoms – car wouldn't start, and it turned out to be a defective relay switch. Have you checked the relays associated with the ignition system? Sometimes, a faulty relay can cause an intermittent power interruption.

Which relay exactly are you referring to? I'm not super familiar with the Caravan's layout, but I'm willing to dig around if you can point me in the right direction. Also, did your BMW throw the same error code?

I can't be certain about the specific relay location on your Nissan, as it differs from my BMW. However, the error code does sound very similar. To avoid further issues, I would suggest that you seek professional assistance. The problem is most likely caused by a defective cable or plug connection.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop. Turns out, it was a corroded connector in the wiring harness, just like the error suggested. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the help!
