Nissan Cube knock sensor issue

My 2005 Nissan Cube with a gasoline engine has 234831 km on it. The check engine light is on, fuel consumption is up, and the engine idles unevenly. I think it's the knock sensor. The OBD reader confirms it. I also checked the wiring and plug. Could a bad connection be the problem?

I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. Same symptoms, check engine light and all. I never checked the knock sensor, but it could be the reason. I would start by checking the connection like you did. Did the code reader give you the exact code?

Yes, the OBD reader gave me error code P0325, which indicates a problem with the knock sensor 1 circuit. You mentioned checking the connection; what exactly did you check on your Astra?

That's a clear code. I mostly just wiggled the wires and cleaned the contacts with some electrical cleaner. It helped temporarily, but the light came back on after a while. I would suggest taking it to a workshop. These things can be tricky.
