Nissan Dayz Audio System Failure

Alright, I'm about to chuck my 2009 Nissan Dayz with its gasoline engine out the window. The audio system has completely crapped out on me. No sound whatsoever, and the error memory is throwing codes like a rave. I'm convinced it's the display unit, but before I drop serious coin, has anyone else tackled this demon?

Whoa, sounds frustrating! I had a similar meltdown with my old Peugeot 308. The whole audio unit went silent, and it turned out to be a dodgy connection in the dashboard. Have you checked the wiring harness behind the display? Might be worth a peek before you condemn the entire unit.

Interesting! You think it's just a loose wire? I was getting ready to just replace the whole display. Did your Peugeot throw any error codes, or was it just dead silence?

Yes, it was just a loose connection and error codes, I ended up taking it to my local mechanic, and they re-soldered some connections. In hindsight, it would have probably been better if I had it checked by a professional, considering my lack of expertise. Based on your description and the fact that you are getting error codes, it might be worth getting it checked out!

Roger that. Looks like I'll bite the bullet and take it to the shop. They quoted me around 725€ to replace the display, so hopefully, it's something cheaper. Thanks for the advice; I appreciate the help!
