Nissan Dayz Smoke on Acceleration
Summary of the thread

The smoke appears to be dark. I haven't done a detailed fuel analysis recently, but it does seem consumption has slightly increased. What did you ultimately discover?

In my case, the dark smoke and reduced fuel efficiency were indeed linked to the exhaust system. Given your observations, I would recommend a visit to a qualified workshop for diagnosis. It is possible the sensor is at fault indeed.

Understood. I will schedule an appointment with a trusted technician for thorough examination. The estimated repair cost including parts and labor is 245€.

I also own a Nissan Dayz, and your description sounds familiar. Was the smoke dark or light in color? Also, have you noticed any changes in fuel efficiency leading up to this?
