Nissan Kix outside temperature sensor issue

My 2008 Nissan Kix (gasoline engine) has a faulty outside temperature sensor, indicated by an error. The AC doesn't switch on, spray nozzles are frozen, and mirror heating is non-functional. Diagnostics point to a defective cable or plug. Anyone seen this?

I had almost the exact same issue in my Kix. Check the wiring harness near the front bumper; corrosion can be a real pain there. Does the temperature reading on your dash seem completely off, or is it just not showing anything at all?

The temperature reading is consistently inaccurate and fluctuates erratically. Could you provide more specifics regarding the location of the wiring harness and the type of corrosion you encountered?

Yep, sounds like what happened to mine. It was behind the bumper, passenger side, pretty exposed. The corrosion messed up the plug itself. Honestly, I’d advise taking it to a workshop; they can test the sensor and wiring properly before you start replacing parts.

I appreciate the advice. I will visit a workshop for diagnostics. The estimated repair cost is around 95€. Thanks again for sharing your experience.
