When you had these symptoms on your Kix, was the actuator valve the problem, or were other parts of the turbocharger or wastegate involved? I want to understand it better before I start.

For me, it was the actuator valve. The bypass valve's electrical part had failed, so it stayed partly open, causing a constant boost leak. Check the hoses and connections, but I think it's the actuator. Get a workshop to diagnose it before you replace anything.

The workshop confirmed the defective electrical bypass valve. The repair was 250€, including parts and labor. The Kix is running as expected now.

I had a similar issue with my Kix. The whistling, hissing, and power loss sound familiar. Have you checked for boost leaks in the turbo system? The actuator valve could be it, given the age and mileage. The engine stalling at idle was particularly annoying.
