Nissan Multi Charge Air Temperature Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Nissan Multi with a gasoline engine is experiencing a charge air temperature sensor error, resulting in reduced engine power, a whistling noise, and a loud hissing when accelerating. The initial inspection of the sensor showed no visible issues. The problem was identified as a defective connector at the sensor, which was replaced, resolving the error and restoring engine performance.

Thanks for the tip! When you say "cable and plug connection", do you mean the wires going directly into the sensor, or further back in the wiring harness?

Yeah, the wires going directly into the sensor's plug. If those look good, it's probably time to take it to a workshop. I spent too much time messing with it before realizing it was a simple fix.

You were spot on! Took it to the shop, and it turned out to be a defective connector at the sensor. They replaced it, and the error is gone, power is back, and no more hissing! Cost me 95€. Thanks a bunch for the help!

I had something similar with my Multi. Check the cable and plug connection to the sensor. That was my problem. Look for any damage or loose connections there. Could be causing the issue.
