Nissan Note Cruise Control Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Nissan Note experienced a cruise control failure at 121,297 km, with an error message appearing on the speedometer. The issue was suspected to be related to a wiring problem, possibly a corroded connector at the cruise control module. After checking the fuses and confirming they were fine, the owner took the car to a workshop, where a defective cable connection was identified and repaired.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't touched anything around the steering wheel recently. The error code points to a potential issue with the cruise control system itself. Is there any specific area where the cable or plug connection is likely to be defective?

Okay, a specific error code is mega helpful! It really screams 'wiring'. I had a similar problem, and it turned out to be a corroded connector at the cruise control module. Look for anything loose or green (that's corrosion). Honestly, though, intermittent electrical gremlins are the absolute WORST to chase down. I'd say if you're not comfortable poking around with a multimeter, bite the bullet and take it to a reputable workshop before you accidentally fry something important.

Thanks for the advice. I followed your suggestion and took it to a local workshop. Turns out it was a defective cable connection as you suspected. Repair cost me 95€. Appreciate the help!

Whoa, that's a bummer! Cruise control issues are infuriating! I bet it's a dodgy connection somewhere. The error code is key! Have you tried reading it? Could be anything from a sensor glitching out to a CAN bus malfunction if the car thinks the brakes are always on. Maybe even a steering wheel clock spring issue. Did you recently mess with anything around the steering wheel?
