Nissan Note rough idling and fuel consumption
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Nissan Note owner is experiencing difficulty starting, increased fuel consumption, reduced engine power, uneven idling, and occasional stalling, suspecting a defective injection nozzle due to a dirty injection valve. Another owner with similar past issues suggests that the problem could be due to a build-up of deposits affecting the fuel injectors. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected by a mechanic to confirm and potentially repair a faulty injector.

The symptoms appeared gradually, worsening over several weeks. Initially, the rough idling was intermittent, but now it's almost constant. Did you resolve your issue? Could you elaborate on the eventual repair?

Yes, it does sound like the same thing I had. Given the gradual worsening, it's likely a build-up of deposits affecting the fuel injectors. I eventually took mine to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a faulty injector. I suggest you do the same.

Based on your advice, I will schedule an appointment with a trusted mechanic for a thorough inspection and potential repair. I got a quote for 515€, which is steep, but I want the car running smoothly. Thank you again for your time and assistance.

I also have a Note, and your description sounds familiar. I had similar issues with poor starting and rough idling a while back. Did you notice if the problem got worse over time, or was it more sudden?
