Nissan NV Hard Steering and Vibration

The stability light isn't on, which is weird. Is it like when a bicycle wheel is slightly bent, causing the whole bike to wobble, but in this case it is an electronic problem? If coding is the issue can a generic OBD2 scanner read and erase such error codes?

Indeed, the bicycle analogy is apt. While generic OBD2 scanners can read basic error codes, the steering angle sensor coding requires specialized diagnostic tools. To avoid potential pitfalls, consider visiting a workshop with the appropriate Nissan diagnostic software for a comprehensive evaluation. Defective steering angle sensors can cause all kinds of weird issues in modern vehicles.

Thanks for confirming my fear! I'll take it to a shop that specializes in Nissans. Ended up costing me 195€, sensor needed a proper coding. All good now!

It does sound like a sensor failure. Could alignment problems be a factor, perhaps amplified by the electronic stability program's reliance on accurate steering angle data? Is the electronic stability program light illuminated on the dash?
