Nissan Pixo ABS Lateral Acceleration Sensor Fault

Help! My 2013 Nissan Pixo's ABS light is driving me nuts. It's a gasoline engine, mileage is at 122586 km. The ABS system keeps failing, and the error memory says something about a lateral acceleration sensor fault. Anyone seen this before?

Greetings. I understand you are experiencing difficulties with your Nissan Pixo and its ABS system. I also drive a Pixo and encountered a similar situation not too long ago. If I may inquire, have you noticed any correlation between the occurrence of the ABS fault and specific driving maneuvers, such as cornering or sudden braking? Did the error message also refer to the yaw rate, vehicle stability, or electronic stability control? These keywords often point towards issues with the lateral acceleration sensor.

Cheers for the quick response! Now that you mention it, it seems to happen more when I'm turning. Yaw rate... Electronic stability... Yeah, that rings a bell. So, what did you end up doing about it?

Given the information you've provided, it's highly probable that the lateral acceleration sensor is indeed the culprit. In my particular experience, the affected control unit was unfortunately defective, necessitating a complete replacement. Considering the potential safety implications associated with a malfunctioning ABS system, I strongly recommend a visit to a qualified workshop for a comprehensive diagnostic assessment. Regrettably, the eventual repair costs, including the sensor replacement and associated labor, amounted to approximately 1000€. Be aware that driving with a faulty ABS system can compromise vehicle stability and increase the risk of accidents.

Ouch, 1000€! Thanks for the heads-up. Sounds like a trip to the garage is unavoidable. At least I have an idea what to expect. Appreciate the help!
