Noah Exhaust Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Toyota Noah hybrid exhibited issues such as a check engine light, reduced engine power, and increased fuel consumption. An OBD scanner identified a faulty exhaust temperature sensor, leading to suspicions of an exhaust system leak. A similar case confirmed that an exhaust leak could damage the sensor, and professional inspection was recommended. The problem was resolved by repairing the exhaust leak, which had indeed caused the sensor malfunction.

Thanks for the reply! Did your scanner also point to the exhaust temperature sensor? I'm trying to figure out if it's just a faulty sensor or if something else is causing it to throw an error code. If it was the same, did you have any luck fixing it yourself?

Nah, I didn't scan mine at all. I took it straight to my local mechanic. He checked the exhaust system for leaks, since the sensor was acting up. I'd recommend getting it checked out by a professional.

Thanks so much for the insight! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I took it to a trusted workshop, and you were right, it was a leak in the exhaust system that damaged the sensor. The repair cost 265€, but at least it's finally resolved.

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same symptoms with my Noah – check engine light, sluggish performance, and the fuel gauge dropping faster than usual. I didn't scan it myself, but it sounds like it could be the same thing. Any ideas on what the underlying cause might be?
