Noah Tailgate Hall Sensor Issue

My 2016 Toyota Noah hybrid's power tailgate only opens partially, and I've got an error code pointing to the tailgate hall sensor. I'm guessing it's a dodgy connection somewhere – anyone else seen this?

I had similar issues with my Noah’s tailgate. Check the cable and plug connection to the sensor first. A faulty connection there can cause those symptoms.

Yes, same error code. Cleaning the contacts helped temporarily, but eventually, I needed to get the cable replaced. A workshop should be able to diagnose it properly.
