Note Automatic Transmission Issue

Thank you for your response! The engine surge is indeed a symptom I've noticed, and the 'jerky' feeling is spot-on. When you say 'clutch problem,' do you mean the torque converter lock-up clutch specifically, or another part of the transmission system? Could you share more details about what you found?

To be honest, I am not sure if it was specifically the torque converter lock-up clutch! It was all a bit beyond me, technically speaking. But the mechanic mentioned something about the converter needing to be replaced, as well as a general clutch problem. Considering that you're seeing similar symptoms, and you've got an error code pointing to the converter, it might be best to get it checked out at a reputable workshop. Better safe than sorry, especially with automatic transmissions; they can be tricky!

Thank you for sharing your experience! It's reassuring to know someone else has encountered a similar issue with the Note. I appreciate the advice. I’ll take it to my local workshop tomorrow. It appears the converter is indeed faulty, as suspected. The workshop has confirmed the same. I'll authorise the repairs. Again, thank you for your help!

Wow, that sounds rough! I have a Nissan Note too. I had something similar happen a while back. My car was acting up in a similar way. The engine would surge unexpectedly, and the gear changes felt jerky and rough, as if the car couldn't decide what gear to be in. Could your issues be related to a clutch problem too?
