NV Jerking Hissing Acceleration

Hey, I'm having some issues with my 2011 Nissan NV with a gasoline engine. It's got about 190k km on it. The check engine light is on, and I'm experiencing jerking during acceleration, along with a whistling and loud hissing sound when I accelerate. It also stalls at idle, has higher fuel consumption, and reduced engine power. I suspect it might be a bad boost pressure sensor. I've checked the sensor itself, and I think the cable or plug connection might be defective. Has anyone else run into something similar?

Sounds familiar. I've got an NV, though I can't recall the year offhand. I had similar symptoms a while back – jerking, hissing, and the check engine light. Have you checked for any boost leaks around the intake manifold or turbocharger?

Thanks for the quick response! I've visually inspected the intake manifold and turbocharger, but haven't found any obvious leaks. Where exactly did you find the boost leak on yours? Was it also related to the pressure sensor?

I didn't find a leak myself. I brought it to a workshop and they found out the pressure sensor connection was faulty. Given your symptoms and that you already suspect the sensor, it might be worth getting it professionally diagnosed. Saved me a ton of time and headache.

Thanks for the advice! I really appreciate it. I took it to a local shop, and you were right. Turns out the cable connection to the boost pressure sensor was indeed defective. They repaired it, and the total cost was 95€. Runs like new now!
