Oil gauge warning light

Hi, I've got a 2021 Ford Territory with a gasoline engine and I'm having some trouble. At 149084 km, the oil gauge warning light in the speedometer keeps popping up. There's also an error stored in the error memory, and occasionally the oil pressure warning lamp lights up. Could it be a faulty engine oil temperature sensor? Anyone experienced something similar?

I had a similar issue on my Territory. The symptoms sound pretty familiar. Did you check the sensor's cable or plug connection? That's often the culprit.

Yeah, I had a quick look, but didn't see anything obvious. Where exactly is the engine oil temperature sensor located? Perhaps I missed something.

On mine, it was a pain to get to, tucked away near the oil filter. Honestly, if you're not completely comfortable tracing wires and testing connections, it might be worth a visit to a workshop. Could save you some hassle.

Thanks for the advice. Turns out it was indeed the cable connection to the sensor. Workshop confirmed, fixed, and cost 95€ Much appreciated!
