Hi guys, I have a problem with my 2012 Benz C Class (petrol engine), which has almost 95,000 km on the clock. The oil light has recently come on and there are strange noises coming from the engine compartment, like a rattling noise when adjusting the valves. I'm worried that it could be a problem with the engine oil pressure system. Have any of you ever had similar problems with your car and how did it go with your mechanic? Hello, I had a similar problem with my 2015 Benz E-Class. My oil ducts were also blocked, but by small plastic parts. The problem was indicated by an illuminated oil light and unusual noises from the engine compartment, very similar to your situation. Don't worry, this is a serious problem, but by no means the end of the world. My car had to be thoroughly checked in the workshop. The mechanics then carried out a complete cleaning of the oil channels. All the small plastic parts that were causing the blockage were removed. It was quite a time-consuming process, but in the end everything was fine. So, don't despair. I recommend you take your car to your mechanic as soon as possible. Good luck!
