Hey, thanks for your reply - sounds like a similar issue. Do you remember the amount you had to pay for the repair? Have you had any problems since then, or has your Peugeot been running smoothly since the problem was fixed? Thank you and best regards!

Hey, sure, no problem! The repair costs amounted to exactly €1630. That sounds a lot at first, of course, but I can tell you that after that my Peugeot ran like clockwork. Since the problem was fixed by the mechanic, the engine oil pressure system fault has been history. So all the stress with the clogged oil ducts due to the small plastic parts has fortunately been resolved and I haven't had any more problems since. So don't worry, it'll be fine! Greetings back!

Hey, that takes some of the worry away, thanks for your helpful reply! It's a lot of money, but if it helps my Peugeot stay in good condition, it's worth it to me. I'm going to book an appointment with a mechanic now and hope this is the fault. Keep your fingers crossed for me! See you then and thanks again!

Hi PeugeotMG, it's possible that your Peugeot 3008 is consuming oil faster than usual, which could be due to a number of reasons such as a leak, worn piston rings, or a problem with the PCV system. I would recommend starting with a thorough check for any visible oil leaks. If there are no leaks, it might be worth having a compression test done to check the condition of the piston rings. If the rings are worn, they could be letting oil into the combustion chamber where it's being burned off. Also, check the PCV valve, as a malfunctioning one can cause excessive oil consumption. Please keep us updated on your progress. Do you have any further questions?

Hi, So, I drive a 2019 Peugeot 5008 and had similar symptoms. In fact, my oil passages were clogged because of small pieces of plastic. The plastic pieces probably came from a broken oil strainer. It was a serious issue because the engine oil was not flowing properly and there was a risk of engine damage. I became aware of the strange noises coming from the engine and the burning oil light - just like yours. The mechanic had to remove the oil pan, clean the channels and replace the oil strainer. The repair made my car work perfectly again. I strongly recommend you get this checked out as soon as possible if it really is the same problem. It could save your engine. Find a good garage to have it looked at. Good luck!
