Oil pressure problems and metal shavings in engine oil in BMW 3 Series Diesel (2013) after 87999km

Hi, I have a problem with my BMW 3 Series (diesel, 2013) and was wondering if anyone is familiar with it. After 87999km on the clock, the oil light is illuminated, metal shavings can be seen in the oil and the warning light on the speedometer is also illuminated. I suspect that the engine oil pressure is too low. Have you ever had this problem and what was the result of the repair in the workshop? Unfortunately, I've had bad luck in the past and would be happy to hear any experiences and tips. Many thanks in advance!

The issue could be due to a faulty oil pressure sensor. It's a relatively inexpensive part and not too difficult to replace. However, if the problem persists after replacing the sensor, it could indicate a more serious issue with the oil pump or engine. It's recommended to have a professional mechanic diagnose the issue to prevent potential engine damage.

Hello Diti110, Thank you for your question. Yes the white smoke problem could be due to oil leak from the seal or gasket. I recommend inspecting the oil lines, seals, and gaskets at the front of the engine for damage. If you're unable to identify the issue, having a mechanic take a look would be a good idea. Please keep us updated on the diagnosis and let us know if you have any other questions. Best Regards, Carly Team.

BMW e38 error code 00007B

Hi Crashmaikel, the error code 00007B on a BMW E38 typically relates to an issue with the field cooling activation. This could be due to a faulty fan, a problem with the fan control circuit, or a malfunctioning temperature sensor. It's recommended to start by checking the fan and its connections, then proceed to the control circuit and temperature sensor if necessary. Please keep us updated on your progress and let us know if you have any other questions.
