Onix rear ventilation malfunction

Hi, I have a 2023 Chevrolet Onix with a gasoline engine and about 233860 km. I'm having some trouble with what seems to be the rear ventilation. The air conditioning no longer cools, and the climate control unit seems to be malfunctioning. An error is also stored in the error memory. I've read that it could be a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Chevrolet Onix owner experienced issues with the rear ventilation, where the air conditioning stopped cooling, and the climate control unit malfunctioned. The problem was suspected to be a defective cable or plug connection. After consulting with others who had similar experiences, it was suggested to check the fuses and connections. Ultimately, a workshop identified a defective plug connection to the rear ventilation flap actuator as the cause, and the issue was resolved with a repair.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hey! Sounds frustrating. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Corsa. The air distribution went nuts, and it turned out to be a faulty connection to one of the flap actuators. Was the same symptoms too, really annoying. Did you check all the fuses?

Thanks for the insight. I checked some of the fuses, but I'm not really sure which ones are related to the air conditioning system and the rear ventilation. Do you remember which specific actuator or fuse was the problem in your Corsa?

Can't remember the exact fuse, sorry. But yeah, the actuator was the culprit on mine. Honestly, messing with the climate control system can be a real headache. I'd say get it checked at a workshop, probably faster and safer.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were right – it was indeed a defective plug connection to the rear ventilation flap actuator. The repair cost around 95€. Everything is working fine now.
