Onix Washer Fluid Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Chevrolet Onix owner experienced a persistent washer fluid low warning and a non-functional windshield washer system. The issue was stored as an error in the vehicle's memory. The problem was identified as a critically low washer fluid level, which caused the system to shut down to protect the pump. After topping off the washer fluid, the warning light turned off, and the system resumed normal operation.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks for your input! I haven't checked the fuses yet, that's a good shout. But if the level is too low, would the system completely shut down and throw an error? Seems a bit extreme, doesn't it?

Yes, unfortunately, it does seem a bit extreme, but that was exactly the problem. The system is designed to shut down completely if the fluid level is critically low to protect the pump. The error code was just a confirmation of the low-level condition. At this point, I would definitely recommend a quick visit to your local workshop.

Thanks a lot for the clarification and the suggestion! I topped off the washer fluid, and that seemed to solve the issue. The warning light is now off, and the windshield washer is working again. The whole repair cost me 25€.

I also own an Onix, and something similar happened to mine not too long ago. When you say "error is stored in the error memory," does it give you any specific code? Did you check all the fuses related to the windshield washer system? It could be something as simple as a blown fuse.
