Operating problems on BMW 1 Series E82 Coupe
(Translated from Spanish)
Summary of the thread
The BMW 1 Series E82 Coupe is experiencing multiple electrical issues, including non-functioning lights, power windows, and inability to lock the car. The problems began after customizing light intensity settings. Initial suggestions to resolve the issue included checking the fuses, inspecting the body control module (BCM), and ensuring secure wiring connections. When these steps didn't resolve the issue, the focus shifted to the Footwell Module (FRM). It was recommended to try resetting the FRM before considering replacement, and to consult a professional mechanic if problems persist.

Check the fuses related to the affected systems first, as a blown fuse could cause multiple electrical components to stop working. If the fuses are intact, inspect the vehicle's body control module (BCM) or any related relays, as they might have been affected during the customization. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions.
I'll try it now and let you know, thank you very much.

Make sure to also check the wiring connections to ensure they are secure and not damaged. If the issue persists after checking the fuses and BCM, it might be worth consulting a professional mechanic to avoid any further complications. Let me know if you need more help!

The fuses and wiring are not, all are in good condition, the last thing I have left is to look at the FRM but to know if it is good or bad I think I would have to buy a new one.

Before purchasing a new Footwell Module (FRM), try resetting it by disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes and then reconnecting it. If the problem persists, it might be best to have a professional diagnose the FRM to confirm if it needs replacement. Let me know how it goes or if you have more questions!
