Optra engine stalling at idle
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Chevrolet Optra with a gasoline engine is experiencing stalling at idle and a persistent check engine light. The initial suspicion was a pressure sensor issue. However, it was suggested that the problem might be related to the tank ventilation valve, part of the evaporative emission control system. Upon inspection at a workshop, clogged hoses connected to the valve were identified as the cause, and the issue was resolved.

Tank ventilation valve, huh? Where is that located, and what exactly was wrong with yours? Was it a sensor issue, or something else?

It's part of the evaporative emission control system. In my case, the hoses connected to the valve were clogged, causing a pressure issue. Honestly, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly. It's a pain to get to without the right tools.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was the tank ventilation valve. The hoses were clogged just like you said. Repair cost me about 175€. Appreciate the help!

Hey, I've got an Optra too, and I had similar symptoms a while back. Check engine light and stalling at idle. Have you looked at the tank ventilation valve? That was the culprit for me.
